Old Member Coming Back
Hi All,
Several years ago I was a member here, but a '68 GTO convertible found me and I got distracted to go learn about Goats on the Performance Years Forum. That was a four-year restoration, and I'm back to my first love, Corvettes. I guess I showed my true colors when the GTO spent two months on loan to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green earlier this year for their "American Muscle" show.
Unfortunately I'm getting a little older, and I don't remember my old user name, so I'm "Waif" (Definition: A lost member) this time around. It also is an acronym for "Wrap your Axx In Fiberglass". I sure wish I remembered who I used to be...
I'm also past member 7566 in the NCRS. I'm a past judging chairman for the Queen City NCRS, a past level 17 Master Judge and have built two Duntov cars (a '62 and a '64). I also own an '88 Z51 triple black convertible. I'm threatening to get back into the local chapter, and probably will sometime in the near future.
I retired a little early, so hopefully I've got some good restoration years left. I recently did a full brake overhaul on the '88 and fixed those pesky headlight gearboxes. Next is a new top and a paint job (although my friends say the car is just at the point where I can really drive it and not worry about it).
Well, everybody's pretty-well bored by now. Hopefully I'll be able to help some folks and have fun along the way. See you out there!
