Sitting too long
Please excuse any screw ups I’m new. I have a 1994 c-4 convertible I shipped on a ferry out of Bellingham, WA. to I believe Whittier Alaska in 2006 (i can’t actually remember the port, may have been Anchorage), i was in for a shock when I seen the roads up here, and the car has been driven less then 200 miles since. I don’t recommend driving Corvettes in Alaska but that’s another topic. What I would like to know is if there’s any particular way to start the engine after I change the oil (and gas), as the battery hasn’t been in the car for 5 years?
Welcome to the forums. Sounds like you have the right idea to change the oil and gas. Add some fuel injector cleaner, I would put as much injector cleaner I could directly into the fuel rail or lines and replace the fuel filter. I'm not sure where the filter is, inline or in the tank. Good fuel and spark and she should fire. Let it spin over 4 or 5 times with the ignition off for oil pressure first. good luck..
