Unhappy Trouble starting my '89 convertible.

New member here, looking for help. My mechanic friend found that I was lacking power to one side of the fuel pump. Was able to jump a connection and get the car started. No problem with fuel pump. Mechanic familiar with '89 GM schematics, but not Corvette specific.
Mechanic says may be Module or Prom problem. This is Greek to me. Local Chevy dealer is no help. Where do I go from here? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Try to locate a wiring diagram specific to your year car. They may be available through one of the Corvette specialty houses. Then you can do a trace back from the point you jumped it. This should help determine where your power loss is. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe someone else with the same issue will chime in.
