9/3/06, just south of Macon GA on I75 south bound?
Hello everyone, just wanted to post a big thank you to these guys if they're on this board:
Myself and 2 other new Mustangs were coming back from Birmingham, headed for Tampa. We could tell that all three cars were modified and they were moving at a pretty good clip and they all had FL tags so we knew they were going our way. We all three lined up behind them, and about 5 minutes later the driver in the C6 put his hand out the window, twirled his finger then pointed forward. We all dropped to 70MPH and sure enough, about 3 miles up ahead was a cop in the median. My phone rang and it was one of my buddies (in the red Mustang in the pics) saying, "These guys obviously have some serious surveillance equipment. Let's hang as long as we can!". We hung with them well into FL, but we seemed to be magnets for idiots out there who wanted to keep up[:@]. Thanks to these guys, I made it home about 30 minutes earlier than expected! The tag on one of the blue C5's was "SEEU LTR" or something to that effect. The other blue one had "02 Z06". My car is the gray Mustang with the blackout panel between the tail lights.

Traveling in a convoy is alway a real Kick!!! From time to time I hook up with other rods while doin' a long haul freeway cruise. It'll start with 2 or 3 then..... we've had as many as 15 cars cruisin' for a 100 miles or so. I've stayed in line an extra 30 mi. cause it is so much fun. Not just Vettes and Stangs, but '30's, '40's, '50's and '60's rods will join in. Ya, we get idiots that try to work in line but we "step it up" a notch or two, and they soon f....a.....d....e...... away! Seems we are all of one mind, one will pass slower traffic and the others will follow, even trade leaders. Like a big muscular snake weavin' it's way down the road.

Man, I got goose bumps readin' your post bro, just from the coolness of it!! That's one of the neatest things I've seen in quite awhile... I love travellin' in a pack of rods.... too much FUN! [8D]

Just had to follow my buddy and chime in - I was in the red '06 Stang and this part of the trip was a total blast....
Nothing better than getting that high speed snake going, making miles and time....
Big time thanks to these three Vette drivers and their sweet machines......
