Any of you have Benny Parson stories???
What can I say, one of the greatest true gentle giants of racing. We have driven our cars in the Nascar parade during the past years. First year we drove we talked with Benny, Ned Jarrett, and Richard Petty. Think the first time was back in the 80's, Benny talked to people as though he had no where to go, and you were the most important person he had ever spoken to. He will be so missed. Loved to hear that voice on Sundays.
I went to an exhibition race in Sacramento, Calif., in the Late '60s. I met Al Uncer SR.
They were drivin' Indy cars from the late '50s andearly '60s. Even had some ol' Offys there. I have pics of several of the cars, but God only knows where they're stashed!

Good Lord, yes, BP will be missed somethin' sorely. I still can't believe we'll be listening to NASCAR color this year without him.... I am too young to have any real stories about the man, but I do know he was one of the greatest members of our beloved sport ever.
Rest In Peace, my friend... we'll be listenin to you in Heaven when the time comes.
