Chevy had a rear engine job, theChevrolet Corvair, the only other rear engine cars I can think of at the momentwas aPorsche, and the Volkswagen Beetle. Am I forgetting any?

There was a rear or mid engine Drof back in the '60's. Was a pretty good contender that did pretty well on the racing circuits, but then it just vanished.

I know, the "Stang" was built just to chase down the Chevelle.

Dave, You must be talking about the GT40. Built to compete with and beat Ferrari's in particular. Ford Jr hated Enzo because he blocked ford from buying Ferrari. It cleaned up on the European circuit. Ford dropped the racing program in '69? or '70?because they were stupid and riddled with corporate politics. What a bunch of wheezers!
