Forgetting the price for a moment, I'd like honest comments on what people think of this car. It weighs 5200 lbs but has performance somewhere between a C6 and a ZO6. Fuel economy probably isn't its thing, but the interior is simply unbelieveable.

I've always admired the Bently, but I'm not real fond of the body style.
Looks more Asian than European to me. But hey, I'm still in love with the '38 Chord, so what so I know.
(uh...make that '36)

 

Yeah, for a legit GT, particularly one that can go 198 mph, the looks aren't that sleek and the nose in particular is sort of flat. On the other hand, it looks smaller and sleeker inperson than in photos, and it is just built to perfection.

I love this car. Life is full of choices,though, and owning one would mean foregoing all sorts of other things. But it is lovely. Right now, my dream car.

 

This would deffinately set you apart from the rest! I think I'd have to sell my house and live in the thing - lol.

 

It really is nice. I agree about the body style but it still is a Bently, which equaits to class. In January they sold a beautiful Bently on Barret-Jackson. It was slightly bigger than this one with a back seat and two doorsbut it was certainly beautiful. Had some kind of bigblock in it. Went for cheap too, for a Bently/Rolls. Class, comfort and performsnce, What more could you want? Go for it.

 

Ozzy Osbourne and his wife bought matching GTC Bentleys when they first came out. If it is good enough for Ozzy...

They are great on the autobahn, or when you are cruising at high speed in comfort. The acceleration isn't great... well, great for a luxury car, but not in line with a sports car in that price class. Of course, my total experience was under 10 miles, at a max of about 80 mph... but at least I got to twiddle the buttons on the stereo.

Well, the acceleration of the one I drove was damn good, about like my C5 ZO6 was stock. I think that is a fair characterization: Road and Track got it doing 0-60 a tenth second faster than a standard C6, and finishing the quarter mile a tenth later. It has a top speed (198) matching the C6 Z06's.

Basically, though, I like its "you can have everything" attitude. But the price is about twice what a well-equipmed Porsche Carrera costs and I doubt I will ever swing for one.

Still, its a great dream.

 

The Bentley Continental GT is definitely one of my favorite cars right now. If I had the money to buy what every type of car I wanted that would be in my Top 3 list.
