Took my stock 2000 to the drags tonite! wohoo
Car is stock m6. Falken FK451 non runflat tires. Made a handful of passes.
First pass I made (and best of the night)13.275 @ 107.65 - 2.088 60'
Rest of the night I ran all 13.2x with just one 13.3. Pretty consistant. All 2.08x and one 2.073 60' times.
Reason for the 13.3 was I think because the sun was down for a while and the track cooled. I shifted to 2nd on that run and spun all the way until I caught 3rd. Then spun a hair more until finally it caught. I would of let off in 2nd but the car was staying fairly straight (the a$$ was fluttering back and forth though) so I kept on it.
My first rwd car and still getting used to it. I think I'm getting pretty close to its limits though. Maybe a better track and a little more practice and I can hit 13.1. I run at Island Dragway in Great Meadows NJ and from what I hear it is one of the worste tracks for track prep and people just going through the wetbox and water all over the track.
Overall I am very happy with the way the car performed and with my '60 times.
Talked with a few other guys with c6's. One with sc and running 12.1 to 12.5. Said he couldnt get any traction at all.
Another was stock and hitting 12.8s
This car is a blast! I love it! I have some videos not sure how to put them up here though.

Seems like you had a good time, I have yet to run a car at the drap strip, but keep telling myself that I will make it there one day. Until then I will just enjoy reading these stories.

You got reasonable times and Falkens aren't the greatest tires for a good launch. Some 305 drag radials would probably trim your 60' to 1.9 and maybe get you to 13 flat.

I have been doing a lot of reading and searching about different mods and trying to make up my mind on which route I want to take. I would like to eventually get the car to be able to do mid 11's on drag radials. I know nitrous is an option but I don't want to be messing with bottles and such with the vette. And I'm sure spraying 150 shot will get very expensive. So that leaves me with a h/c setup. Looking at cartek.net in garwood NJ. Anyone have any experiences with them?

You can get into the 11s several ways. Supercharger will do it easily -- several good routes there: I prefer the Magnusen on stock engines although that means you need a new hood. A stroker engine and heads cam will also do it. Either way, about $10K to do it right.
