on my 85, i have always turned the alarm off at the passenger door. this is how i was told by the first owner to de-activate. not by the driver lock. Is this normal or do i have a bad lock on driver door. never had manual to back up this claim. car is sold a i want to tell the new owner all the tricks.

I can deactiavate my alarm on either side. The owners best bet would be like I did and get the vats bypass switch. Just plug it in and away it goes!:D
