front fenders
Hey folks; Any '67 convertable owners out there who I can compare notes with? This is my first Corvette, and I inadvertantly hit a stretch of bad highway at about 65-70 mph. I was in center lane with traffic on both my right and left and had no choice but to endure what I thought at the time was the dismantling of my car fender by fender...The front fenders actually appeared to be moving independantly of each other with one up while the other was down etc. When the road finally smoothed out the car was fine. In fact, on smooth highway it's ride feels like that of a much larger car...really smooth and very comfortable. When I got home the first thing I did was to park it on the the most level ground I could find, fully expecting to see one side twisted out of balance with the other, but it was fine. Is this a common problem? I wonder if new shocks would help (problem is I don't know how old they are).
