Default Hot air coming into drivers side

Have a 64. I get a lot of very hot air coming into the drivers side . The passenger side is cool. The fan and heat seem to be off but it’s really hot when the car heats up. The dash was recently replaced. Possibilities ?

Welcome to the forum.
Is the hot air coming through the kick panel vent or the heating system?

Default Not sure

We’re trying to figure it out. The drivers floor vent is missing the control. Which I have on order. Then the next thing is going to be is trying to figure out if the heat continues then it has to be the heat from heater core . Ever come across this ?

My only mid-year experience was with a '66 big block roadster and they are hot all the time. If it's not the kick panel vent then the next thing to check is the blend door which may require removal of the dash again. If that control cable is not connected, then that could be the source of your heat.

Can't get to blend door without pulling the dash?

Honestly I don't remember and my friend sold his 66 a few years ago. You can look under the dash and see if you can reach it or possibly pull the glove compartment box and maybe get it through there.
