1980 L-82 horsepower

Lokking at 1980 vette. Guy says L-82 came from factory with 300hp. My understanding is 230 hp. Am I correct? Thanks to anyone who knows the facts!!

My '80 L-82 was rated, I believe, 220 hp.

Hi Lt4Dave, I think the 5th digit in the vin unlocks the answer
8 = 350 cid =190 hp
6 = 350 cid =230 hp
H = 305 cid=180 hp

I was told that all the L-82's had the higher horse power rating.
