Default 73 - EGR Valve +

Hi All. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I'm still finishing up the 73 Roadster and have a couple of questions.

1) EGR Valve. Currently, I have the valve assembly, but it's just capped off right at the valve. Do I need this? If so, where does it go? I've tried to find a diagram to show this connection, but cannot find one.

2) The rear deck of the car has the two bezels (large ovals) on the left and right for the top. However, there is a center hole in the deck as well. Is there supposed to be a bezel here as well? I cannot find a listing anywhere for this. Is it just supposed to be a hole?

3) On each side, right behind the seats, there is an open hole. Is there supposed to be a bezel in these holes as well or are they just open. I cannot find a listing for these either.

Thanks!

2 and 3) I found a listing. It's called a ferrel. No clue on the EGR though...

Do you need the EGR valve? No. Does it hurt anything to have it hooked up? Probably not. I checked the AIM but found nothing. I believe it goes to a ported vacuum source so it won't affect idle.

Thanks Shark. I've looked at some pics of engines online and thought that I just saw it connected to a vacuum port on the manifold. And, I thought I read something at some point about someone removing the valve completely and replacing it with a plate to block it off. Anyway, it will just stay there as is.

That's exactly what I did w/ mine. Fashioned a plate out of 1/4" aluminum and used the existing clamp to hold it. Made a gasket out of some heat resistant mat'l.
