I have a problem unlocking the driver door on my 74. I locked the door with the key, but when I try to unlock the mechanism only turns so far and will not allow the door to open. I can get inside the car and have tried to unlock with the door panel ****. I have tried moving the dooor lock with the door latch handle in various positions with no luck. I cannot get the door panel off as I cannot unlock and open the door. Any Suggestions?

 

Might have to try a slimjim. use to be able to get them at autozone/dicount auto parts, etc.

Might take the door panel off the other door so you can see what you're dealing with. Then use blueshark's suggestion. There is a shield that is meant to prevent slimjimming but it just slows the thieves down. Good luck.
