Factory Alarm Problem
Hello,
Just bought a '76 corvette. It's all stock and has a factory alarm. But when I go to activate it, it just goes off. I lock the doors and turn the key on the side to turn on the alarm, and then it goes off and won't stop till I turn the key again. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Did previous response on phone and didn't see your question. Answer is yes but you'd then have a hole in the fender to fill and paint.

My car has this switch in the rearpanel. that is why I was wondering if it was insatlled there. Thanks the car did come with a factory alarm, now I get to try and find all the equipment to make it work again.

I was wrong. They moved the alarm switch to the LF fender in '74 when they went to the rubber rear end. Not sure what your switch is but if it's connected to the alarm, then someone moved it. Check the inside of the front fender for a filled hole.
