Default Gap around the head lights?

Hi all,

I am rebuilding a 70 for my wife. I'm trying to get the nose straight and the gaps around the headlights correct. Could someone please tell me the correct gap between the body and the headlight assembly. I'm at 1/8" now but when the lights go up they miss the body at the rear by only a hair. The nose on this thing has been hit and hacked together once upon a time so getting it right has been a challenge and I don't have anything original to go by.

Thanks, Neal

Welcome to the forum.

IIRC, the only adjustment is by loosening the mounting bolts and moving the entire assy to get the best gap.
