hello im new here, had a question about the inside rear view mirror attachment
hello folks,
new here and new to owning a muscle car and certainly a c3 which i love. coming from the corvetteforumas there's a glitch or something and my posts aren't showing up.
couple of folks helped me out but by then the post was gone. where i dont know. as the title says i was trying to figure out how to attach the inside rear view mirror.
some folks in the other forum suggested i remove the wedge and just glue it on with permatex for windshield.
attaching pics for a better idea.

Your post showed up. Welcome to the forms. There is a special glue for that metal tab to be glued, it is different than super glue. you can get if from a glass shops or places like Amazon for a few dollars. Just follow the package instructions, clean the surfaces, glue it and allow a couple hours for the glue to cure then you attach the mirror to the tab and you are good go. Pretty easy. Make sure you don't glue fhe tab upside down. Before you glue it, hold it up to the windshield to see where you want to place it. Shorter drivers might like mounted lower from the top of the windshield.
