High idle
Hi
i having trouble with my 82 cross fire
idles high 1200 rpm I changed out TPS idle air sensor. IMAP didn’t change
pulled off the vac lines on the intake plugged them, the car idled around 600 less than a minute raced back up to 1200 rpms
I think the computer raised it up
Any help would be appreciated
also any mechanic near boston would be great

Welcome to the forums. TPS reset should be at.525 volts and make sure the throttle shafts are not worn. Some guys say after changing or replacing the TPS you should drive the car for 15 minutes or 5 miles to reset the ecm. Also check EGR for operation, some guys say to replace the engine temp sensor for the ecm, and check the thermostat to make sure its working. Check the idle control system to see if its clean and operational..
