Default hood insulation pins

A couple of the pins that hold the hood insulation have come loose from the hood. I tried using an epoxy cement to reattach them but that only held the pins for a very short time before they came off again. Does anyone out there know of a good adhesive to use to attach the pins to the hood? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The factory may have used the bonding adhesive that is used for the fiberglass panels, just a thought since the pins are glued directly to the fiberglass hood.

Try cleaning the old spot of any of the glue you used and roughen slightly and then wipe w/ lacquer thinner. After it dries, try using JB Weld epoxy. Have had very good luck with it.

After years of engine heat and weather changes the pins are doomed.
I picked up a new set on line and they stayed in with no glue etc.

Just curious. What holds them on?
