My '78 with a ZZ-4 GMPP crate motor and a 700-R4 tranny gets a consistant 20 MPG on the hwy. at 70 -80 MPH. Of course I credit that to the .7 overdrive 4th in the 700-R4.

Hi my25thcorvette, Your right, I bought it because the C-3 style looks good even when it's parked
And Autom8r, the ZZ-4 is the way to go for more power but that engine was about 2 grand over my budget so I went for the stock Chevy replacement, Thanks for the replies,PG.

 

It does scoot pretty good with the ZZ-4! I had the ZZ-4 in a '38 Pontiac street rod swapped engines for the 'Vette's L-82. Both are much happier now!
