Ignition key issues
Hi All,
I had to replace the ignition switch actuator rack in a tilt telescopic 1975 steering column. Everything looks fine and works great with the column cover off. However when I install the column cover the key ignition cylinder is very tight to remove and insert the key the key will turn fine and crank th e motor, but to remove the key you have to press the key counter clock wise the turn it clock wise for the key to be removed. Is there something I missed during the reassembly? What could be causing this? Please help.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would cause this. But you might go back and add punctuation and spacing to your paragraph because I found a a little bit hard to understand in places.
