LT1 Swap
I am in the prosses of installing a Gen. II LT1 into my 1976 Corvette. I bought a 1995 Z28 Camaro with a T-56 Boug-Warner 6 speed, in which I stripped for parts.I disassembled the entire engine and had it bored over to a 355. I installed port and polished alluminum heads and intake, roller rockers, roller lifters (hydrolic) and high flow throttle body and injectors. Right now the engine is on a stand, because I am currently updating the suspension and brake systems. I have custom made a stand alone wiring harness and once I am done installing the engine and trans. I am going to have the ecm remapped. I hope to be pushing well over 400hp to the rear wheels but I am not keeping my hopes to high because I am building a driver not a race car. If you have any questions about your build just e-mail me and I will help with as much as I can. Thanks, Dan.
P.S. - I will be posting pictures soon so you can see what the final build will look like. My dead line was June 21, 2007 (first day of summer), but I ran into some money problems so the car went on the back burners, but I am finishing up the under body now and will be sanding and painting my car soon, then the engine and 6-speed trans will be going in. After that the interior, sterio system and accent lighting. I hope to be done by the end of summer or before.
