i did a search on google and came here and saw that a user named papawanna may be able to help me with diagrams for my 79 vette if anyone can get him to this post to help me out it'd be greatly appreciated

I did try searching for him and it said no results so if anyone else that might have this information please reply

Couldn't find a user w/ that screen name on this forum. Did your search results state this forum in particular as there are other forums dealing w/ Corvettes?

 

Ecklers.com has the wiring diagram for your C3. All laminated in plastic ready to hang on your wall. I bought one for mine to trace out some wiring. (Also bought a service manual from them). Or you can remove the negative battery post and clip a test light between the post and terminal. whatever is drawing on the battery will light up the test light. At that point start pulling fuses out of the fuse box one at a time. When the light goes out you have found the circuit causing the short.
