The steering wheel on my new 78 feels like it is about to fall off at thye dash. Any Ideas?

 

Is it a tilt wheel?

 

Fix it!!!!!

Get a shop manual, an assembly manual(AIM), and look at the attachment points something is wrong.

Steering wheel attaches to the column with 5-6 screws that you can see after you lift off the horn cap. Steering column is attached to the dash with 2 bolts that can be seen from under the wiper override switch.

The column and steering wheel should be rock solid and the car shou;ld not be driven until repaired.
