3 gallons of air plane stripper will do the trick....quicker than sanding and less chance messing up fiberglass. I check into the name of the (air plane paint stripper)friends have used on thier cars and where to find it.

Although airplane stripper works wonders on painted steel , unfortunately, the methylene chloride in the airplane stripper will melt the plastic resin used to build the car. It's use will be very detrimental on anything formulated of plastic. Cheers

I am with Blueshark, go with baking soda. There is a guy by me that will blast a Vet for $700 and you will get your car back the same day with no paint on it.
Striping a Vet is a real nasty and sucky job.
Spend the $700 and your half way there.

The best tool for stripping several coats of bad Maaco $299 paint jobs off of a great Corvette? Drumroll... a wallet.
Sandpaper works, baking soda in a blaster works, soft plastic bead in a blaster works... But I *highly* recommend paying someone with experience (and lots of it) to do the job.bill.
