transmission

RE: transmission
Well, you have to have a set of pedals, linkage, bracket for frame, pivot on engine block, bell housing, clutch assembly, cross member, and of course, transmission. Some cases might require driveshaft modification. If you have the transmission already, you might spend another $500.00 on additional parts if you do the work your self. Might have to change out some of your console, also.

RE: transmission
You almost got all of the conversion down....don't forget the pilot bearing in the crank. Sometimes frames don't have the mount for the outside end of the pivot linkage. You can buy that cheap enough and weld it on. I'm doing the same thing right now. You need a separate mount for the tranny and the shifter unless you use a muncie which the shifter mounts right on the tranny. Those mounts should bolt right up to a previously auto crossmember. Plug your tranny cooling lines at the rad, rip out your auto shifter, buy a manual shifter, flywheel, clutch... mount your pedals ......lots of stuff, it's not cheap. It's a big job but I think it's worth it. Mine(1972) was apart getting a frame off and thought why not convert. Good luck.
