My wipers worked fine until I cleaned the engine bay and probably shorted something. I checked the fuses and the connection to the motor. The fuses are fine and the motor is recieving power. The vaccuum door operates just fine but the wiper motor does not work. Any suggestions?

 

if you have power to the motor check to see if you have a good ground to the motor. What year? Does it have a safety switch for the wiper door if you have one? When all else fails the first thing to do on any electric motor is to smack it with a hammer to see if the contacts are just stuck.

 

I'll give that one a shot considering I am very familiar with this method of repair. Thanks. If it doesn't work I have to get a bigger hammer right?
