I have not been able to find an A/C pulley delete kit for my 84 C4, seems that no vendor sells one to fit the 84. I looked a some GM vehicles while at some car shows and a 1989 Firebird compressor set up looked similar to my 84. I took a chance and ordered a Dorman 34157 delete pulley listed for 1988-92 Camaro/Firebird. The pulley bolts right into the 3 mounting locations. I had to remove a little metal from the aluminum factory compressor bracket as the pulley was rubbing slightly. I just used a file to gain the proper clearance. I had to use some shorter bolts but that was it. The stock serp belt works but seems a little sloppy so I am going to try a 1" shorter belt. I had eliminated the smog pump and was using an 85.5" belt but this belt was too short after I put the delete pulley on. I bought the Dorman 34157 pulley on Amazon for $30 with free shipping. Hope this helps for those 1984 owners who would like to get rid of the A/C compressor. You can still find the GM pulley delete kit for the 88-92's and they are $99 new.
