Ok guys here is the problem I am having. Just got this 84 vette with the crossfire injection. The caris runninghorrible.it seems to be running really rich. I took the air cleaner assembly off and it is spraying a lot of fuel into the motor. during normal acceleration the car falls on its face and you have to let of the pedal befor it will pick back up. fuel smell is really strong. the car has been at the local mechanics several time and they can't find the problem. another thing when the car is going through the gears it shifts into overdrive way too fast. From a dead stop the car will be shifted into overdrive within100 yardseasy. At 60 mph the car runs fine as long as you don't try to pass someone or get on the gas hard.. the last time I drove the car it started bucking and backfiring. and died at the stop sign. I need help bad with this car. thanks

 

First, I would need to know if there were any trouble codes. Is the timing set correctly? How does the car idle? Any O2 sensor readings? MAP sensor readings? Could have a converter stopped up. Need vacuum readings at idle. Trans shift sounds like detent cable is not hooked up or out of adjustment.
