I was getting only .17v at the O2 sensor (chart indicates any voltage less than .35v is a possible short in Ckt 412 or a faulty ECM---checking out 412, i didn't find any shorts).

I'll let you know what I find out.

Again, thanx for your help and patience!!!!
What voltage do you get harness side unplugged?
The .17v was measured on ckt 412 at the lead with the O2 uplugged.

mech259 --- just an update on the code 44 problem. I finally resolved it. They say look for the simple things first and most times you'll solve problems.

I started playing around with the engine today and, as a last resort, started pulling plug wires to see if I had a dead cylinder. The car did have a slight miss and no power. Every plug wire I pulled on the drivers side didn't have any effect on the running of the engine. The passenger side did. So it had to be common with something on the one bank. Low and behold, the fuse that drove the fuel injectors on the drivers side bank was blown. Changed the fuse and now the car has more power than I thought it would. The crazy thing was only running on 4-cylinders. Thats why I didn't have a lot of power but once it got upto speed, it wasn't all that bad. Now I don't have to worry about buying a new MAF ( I had already put new plugs, wires, etc. in the car)

Again, I appreciate you help and patience with this problem.

[:-]Wow. You had never mentioned that. LOL. That's great! As an afterthought, I would ohm all your injectors to make sure that resistance isn't too low, which will cause a high current draw. Congrats on your persistance. Now you see what I go through most every day. [8D]

I can appreciate your situation. I'm 63 and have been doing this as a hobby for almost 50yrs. Cars are great--but they can really grab you where the "hair is short"!!! Its funny when you know something is wrong but just can't put your finger on it. Don't know why I hadn't started pulling plug wires earlier, but it was satisfying to finally find the problem.

Again---lesson learned. LOOK FOR THE SIMPLE STUFF FIRST!!!!
