Default 1990 AIR CONDITIONING

NEED HELP!!! I RETROFITTED MY 90'S AIRCONDITIONING TO R-134 ,NOW THE COMPRESSOR WILL NOT ENGAGE,I;VE REPLACED THE LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE SWITCHES AND THE COMP. CYCLING SWITCH.I HAVE 45 LBS. PRESS. AT THE LOW FITTING.ANY IDEAS? TO HOT TO DRIVE CAR WITHOUT THE AIR.

What is your static high side reading? If both are 45 lbs, then you don't have enough freon in system. Should have around 80 - 90 lbs static pressure (that is line pressure before compressor starts pumping). Unplug cycling switch from accumulator and short terminals together to see if compressor comes on. [8D]
