1990 C4 - Courtesy Lamps stay on while driving. Please help.

1990 C4 - Courtesy Lamps stay on while driving. Please help.

They shut off when I get out of the car and lock the doors as they should, but while I am driving they stay on, day or night.

When I rotate the dasher dimmer switch, this has no effect.

Anyone have any ideas? Your help is sincerely appreciated. THANKS!
