Im putting on a new alternator on my 87 vette (had the original still on the car). I had to cut off the wire connected to the ground screw with the ring connector on the old alternator because it was bent and twisted and impossible to get the bolt/washer loose. Anyone know what size ring terminal connector I need to crimp the wire to and use when reconnecting it to the back of the alternator? Wire is original OEM size and I will be replacing the original OEM alternator (105 amp I believe) with this 140 amp powermaster. (P.S. I hate measuring stuff lol)
You can measure the diameter of the existing wire and then look it up online to see what wire gauge that is equivalent to. I'm suspecting that it's probably around a 12 gauge wire.
