Anyone know what to use to clean the aluminum plenum on the LT-1? Mine is gettting some white looking deposits on it.

was up, be careful of all the wires ect., i would use a hand rubbing comp. to keep down on the over spray. 92 have the opti-spark dis.,if you use to much water around the motor it will start to shut down the car

Mother's makes a aluminum rubbing compound for that. White residue is oxidation. Been sitting outside much? Moisture is what causes the oxidation.[8D]

Thanks for the reply's guys...I have used Mothers aluminum polish on other stuff, was looking to see if there was anything else. Car doesn't sit outside, just sits...1000 miles in last 2 years.
