93 lt1 won't start
just got a 93 w/41000 miles, drove 120 miles home started and drove it 2 times on short 20 mile trips. Vette won't start now, where do I start? my last vette was a 92 lt1 and never had a problem like this w/78000 miles on it this was to replace it after I was rearended at a stop light and totaled. I am reasonably new to vettes as I only had my 1st vette for 1 1/2 months and 2300miles.
Does it even tun over? If not, the first thing I would do is check the battery connections. The side posts have a tendency to loosen up just enough so the car won't turn over but the lights, etc, still work. CHeck them for corrosion and if necessary, remove and clean. Tighten them up and hopefor the best. If, on the other hand, it already turns overbut won't start, it could be several things that you will have to check into further. Good luck.
yes it turned over plenty fast but never moved the tack up just minus, I tried the other key. I tried relearning the key, I checked for loose conections for possible loss of spark. I still haven't determined if it is getting fuel or fire that will be my next project, I still feel it is a brain clot. I have ordered a lt1 lt5 rebuild book and looking for the vette shop guides. But any help while I wait for them to come in will be appreciated.
If you have no tach deflection while cranking, most likely have distributor problems. The tach signal is off the cam sensor in the distributor behind the water pump. My guess is you have no spark and no injector pulse.
