Default 95' always runs hot

would removing the thermoatat make the car run cooler???? I was talking to a guy with a 94 vette that always ran hot , he change a switch by the radiator so the fan runs all the time and stays cooler,, any one know what this is or how to do it?

What's the digital temperture? The analog gauge is not as accurate as the digital. Seems like the fans are operating ok.

There is a small access hole on the right side of the radiator shround. Look & see if the area is full of trash, etc.

I'd try a flush & fill & see if that helps. Maybe also pull the top of the radiator cover &

wash out the fins. There are lots of things you can do.

Donot run the engine without the thermostat.

Don't know if you have an owner's manual, so check this out.

Were you able to down load the PDF for the 95 owners manual?

If not the trip monitor is located to the left of the DIC.

Hit the gauges button & you will get a readout for "temp"-"battery"-"Tranny" & "oil temp".

The analog gauge is not linear. What you may think is 260 or 280 may not actually be. You really need to use the digital gauge for accurate coolant temps. I bet it's not running nearly as hot as you think.
