My car was running rough and would almost stall at the light. When crusing and press the gas it would hesistate sometimes and the instant gas miles would drop very low when crusing at a steady RPM. The SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT would also come on and go off at times.

The solution: I changed the 02 sensor and the problem is gone. The mechanic checked the computer for codes after the replacement and all is working nicely now.

 

Just a 02 sensor caused that much of a problem? That is serious issues. I should check into that on my car. Thanks for the tip![&:]

 

the sensor was seriously ganked up upon inspection causing the computer to dump gas on the problem. this in turn casued the gas mileage to dump and relay other problems.

 

You betcha a 02 sensor will cause those problems - they can cause major havoc.
