ABS/Taction Lights- Bad BPMV

Default ABS/Taction Lights- Bad BPMV

1996 LT1 with 75k miles. ABS/Taction lights are on. Mr Goodwrench says its the Brake Pressue Modulator Valve. The problem is the part is discontinued from GM and Elkers can't get it.
Dealership mechanic says everything mechanically checks out fine and that the issue would only prevent the ABS/Traction from working. Not really a big deal for me, since they haven't worked for over a year, but could be a big deal if I ever wanted to sell the car.

I'm still debating on spending the big dollars fixing this issue orjust keep theblack elec. tape over the lights.

Has anyone had the Modulator Valve go bad? Anyone know where to get one?

Mine is bad on my 86 and also discontinued. I just unplugged the wiring harness from the valve and no more light.

It is under the lid in a little compartment just behind the driver's seat.
