WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO TAKE THE TENSION OFF THE BELT FOR EASY REPLACEMENT? I HAVE HAD A REAL PROBLEM WITH THIS!! LOOKS EASY TO DO BUT ITS NOT...

Use a 1/2" drive rachet in the hole in the front of the tensioner. If you don't have a diagram on the core support, make sure and draw one to get the belt back on right.[8D]

Had similar problem, make sure that you know the correct way to get belt back on. also dont take the bolt out of center of tensioner as it is very hard to get it back on if the spring comes out. Good luck

I thought you just loosed it off of the alternator, pulled it off, popped the new one on, straightened it out and then tightened it down. Make sure all the bolts are tight though...Wouldnt want your belt to be eaten off. They seem to like to come loose on certain cars....
