I have a '91 C4 six speed - I noticed on my drive to the gym this morning that my steering wheel was a bit hard to turn at times - like turning in notches. I didn't hear any of the typical power steering pump whine so after I came home from work today I look at the power steering fluid and it was full. I touched the belt and it's pretty loose which looks like the belt tensioner has lost it's tension. Looks to me like part of the frame in front might inhibit taking this tensioner off. Is this tensioner tied in with any other part of the engine that would make it a bit more difficult to remove and replace with a new one?
I'd appreciate any info.
