RE: c4 running hot in traffic
Obvious question. Is your cooling fan working? Did you bleed all the air out of your cooling system? If yes on those, then next step is to have radiator flow checked. Then check your water pump operation. Good luck.[8D]

CANT BEAT THAT ADVICE, MECH JUST COVERED YOUR WHOLE COOLING SYSTEM FIRST CHECK FAN,IT IS A PAIN IN THE *** TO GET THE AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM,AND THAT WILL MAKE YOUR CAR HEAT UP FILL YOUR OVER FLOW.THEN CHACK LEVEL IN RADIATOR,REMOVE CAP START MOTOR LET RUN AND WACH FOR AIR BUBBLES WHEN ALL THE BUBBLE ARE GONE ADD MORE WATER OR COOLANT THE CLOSE UP SYSTEM LET RUN CHECK TEMP, SHUT OFF LET SIT FOR A WILE THEN CHECK FLUID LEVEL IF LOW OPEN BLEED VALVE AND FILL TILL WATER STARTS TO DRIBBLE OUT OF BLEADER KEEP DOING THIS TILL YOU ARE FULL OF COOLANT.THEN CLOSE SYSTEM BACK UP AND CHECK TEMP,IF STILL RUNS HOT CHECK WATER PUMP THERMOSTAT MUST BE OPEN TO CHECK,PULL A HEATER LINE OFF HEATER CORE, RUN CAR AND WATER SHOULD COME OUT OF LINE IF DOES NOT WATER PUMP IS NOT WORKING, I

Hey I know this may sound stupid but did you check if there is anything blocking the front of the radiator? Twice I've had a Wal-Mart bag get sucked up into my radiator area. First time it happened took awhile to figure it out. Taught me to start simple. Anyway just thought I'd mention it.

We have a syaing in the auto repair industry, KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid! You would be surprised how much that cures problems like, my car died and won't start. Checked and had no gas, didn't even look at the gas gauge.

although I was a tech in a different industry, I totally agree with MECH, don't overlook the simple easy stuff, sometines when you do you make a mountain out of a mohill. I remember one repair that had a burn't out indicator bulb, instead of just replacing the bulb I went and looked at all the circuits driving the bulb and wasted tons of time.
