Default Coolant Issues

One of my friends has a 96 LT1 Auto and she is getting a message that the coolant is low. I took a look at it and could not find anywhere it was leaking, all the hoses and water pump look fine. The car has 89k on it. I checked the reservoir and it was at the mark it should be. Would this be a sensor issue and is it prone to fail or could there be more going on? Any help would be appreciated.

Thats what I was guessing too. Damn I had not really ever checked out a LT1, so much more stuff under the hood, than my L98. She has a sweet car though, black with red leather, and in very good shape. She has owned it since new and it literally has never had any kind of problem.

Snowolf is right. Having air in the system can cause a low coolant warning and a bad sensor can do this also.
