Default Cruise control removal ?

I removed the cruise control system from the car....Just unpluged , unbolted, removed throttle cable and t- off the vacuem line on the nearest vacuem line.....I didnt notice this before but when iam driving I hear a SSSSSSSing sound comming from the inside by the brake pedal when I apply the brake and the brakes get soft but they still work. Any clue what this is?

A failed brake booster diaphragm (which will allow a vacuum leak)makes for a HARD pedal. And you can hear the hiss ONLY when the pedal is pressed. That is, ONLY if the diaphragm is toast.

Iam not sure what you mean. The hiss comes only while applying the brake and the pedal starts to sag but not to the bottom. SO u think this as nothing to do with removing the cruise? Tjhe hissing sound is coming from in the car

If it hisses when you press the brake, the booster is probably bad. IF that's what's wrong with the brakes, I don't think it's related to the cruise disconnection.

Although both use vacuum, if vacuum routing is now incorrect, it might cause power brake problems gettin' vacuum, but it would NOT cause a hiss at the booster.
