Default Digi-Dash problems

I have had my vette for a few months now and i'm beyond the "Necessary to pass MD inspection" fixes. Right now i want to know my fuel level and engine temp... I tested the actual senders/units and there are [reasonable] voltages and resistances. The fuel level reads always full. The coolant temp always reads "LO". I have tried replacing the dash, I have tried cleaning all contacts, plugs, anything in the dash area. I took the whole dash apart ant took out the LCD's gently dusted them off and thier contact points. That seemed to help more with staying on and lessen flicker. I swapped dashes out and the same 2 problems occured on the different one. Simply i am confused. does any one happen to know the normal operating parameters/signal ranges for each of these sensors/readers? Is there anything that i have overlooked? what are common/uncommon/possible problems in any of these areas? Anyone have any insight experience? I would greatly appreciate any advice, i am somewhat wrench efficient and pretty good at basic electronics, my dad's an electrical engineer or something like that.

Thanks so much in advance

Have you checked continuity from senders to cluster. Usually a full reading to the dash indicates anshorted circuit. The no reading on sending unit can be an open wire. Both readings are essentially resistance readings since the sending unit is a variable resistor. The temp sender is also, you can test the temp sender by grounding the 1 wire connector and see if the gauge goes full scale. [8D]

I also live in MD - Gaithersburg. There is a great Corvette shop about 2 miles from home - Tony's Corvette Shop. His prices are very reasonable and he is very thorough and great to deal with. If you live somewhere close, might be someone to contact if you have problems or need work done.
