Default Distributor or Cap and rotor?

Getting ready to repair oil leaks on front of my LT4. When I'm in there I'm gonna replace some stuff like plug wires and so on. Should I replace the whole distributor or will a cap and rotor be OK. 57,000 miles on this ride. What do you guys think?

Depends on if your distributor has the vent built in it. If it does, just replace cap, rotor. If not, then the updated distributor and while your there replace water pump also. [8D]

Some of them may have what I believe to be a vent, some don't.But,just to be sure, why not change it all and have a fresh start? And while you're at it,the water pump should be replaced as well.It is,after all, kind of in the way,so it could be a good time to change it.Good luck!

Since you have a '96, you already have a vented opti.
