Fuel Pump Bad?

Default Fuel Pump Bad?
Every time i start my car and then put it into drive or reverse and take off i hear a hum and vibration that comes from the rear of the car. Is it my fuel pump? Should it be replaced if it is? I have an 86

Kinda sounds like it. Easy to change, you can get a stick pressed to your ear, put it on the tank and listen to see if that is where the hum is coming from.

The hum and vibration only last for a second, it crescendos and de-crescendos.
