The first four pictures detail the cable and how I wired it to the opening latches and the last three show how it cannot be seen with the hood closed unless you know where to look.

Thanks LeesVette.

That is a great idea....I think I'm going to rig up something similar...
I was thinking (uh oh) why didn't the designers build in a latch or something to keep the cable seated in the notch? It seems like it was very easy to knock it loose when I was getting at the clutch reservoir...Unless the major problem is cable failure...

Hello my friend.....to add to our friends' suggestions,Corvette America has this tool designed by Gordon Killebrew,the C4 GURU,expert engineer,you name it....anyway,their part # is 464060....hope this helps you along!!!! A friend,Joe
