Highway mileage for C4 w/6spd
I would like to hear what mpg 92-96 C4's owners are getting as some people don't believe me that they are getting over 30mpg on the highway. I bought mine a couple of months ago and it is not running right so have been pretty disappointed. Still working on it and will hopefully have it working right by spring. (see irratic engine). That was the main reason why I bought one, to average 26-30mpg. I have a '93 LT1 with a six speed Ruby Red Anniversary Edition with 80,000 miles.
Thanks,

On the highway at 60-65 mph, I get about 28-30 mpg. The best was two years ago in early May, flat road, 60 degrees temp, no wind. Averaged 33 mph for 60 mile trip. Haven't gotten that good since.

This is a very interesting message. I own a 1996 C4 with the LT4 option. On several tanks nowthe car is averaging
21 - 22mpg with mixed driving. I am finding that tire pressures and foot pressure play a big part on mileage.
Hope to see more info on this message.

I get 28 to 30 with strickly highway driving 55 to 70 mph. If I get aggresive with some city driving, it will drop very fast. Low 20's seems about right. Take it for a 100 mile trip at 65 on the inerstate and see what you get.
