Default idle surge problem solved????

Well, so far so good..... I cleaned the throttle body, took the tps off and cleaned it and so far no surge and no irratic idle. One thing I want to point out- when you reattach the throttle body to the air intake make sure it doesn't "roll up" at the bottom cause it will create a heck of a leak.

Is that where the leak was - at the throttle body? Is that the only one you found?

I don't think it WAS leaking. I happened to notice when I was reattaching it that I rolled the bottom part of it and it would have leaked bad if I hadn't noticed it

Hi Scooterman,I too have had some idle issues as well as bogging upon quick acceleration.I recently pulled the throttle body off and rebuilt it,but it was fine afterwards. That is however until I got water into the gas tank and tried to start the car, unknowingly. After draining the tank and lines I now have a bog and the engine is running somewhat rough. My question relates to your term of "Roll Up" when installing the throttle body.Never heard this term before and not sure what you mean?Fill me in!
