Have a 1990 C4 Corvette I started to rebuild the inner workings of a door panel and one of the rod that attach to the outside lock handle I cannot remember where it attaches or how it does can somebody help me it is driving me crazy

 

That's why I've started taking pictures before disassembly. You're best bet is to order an Assembly Manual which has drawings and instructions.

 

The factory manual I have is not descriptive enough does not show me where the bottom half oh that connector Rod attaches or how it attaches I guess it was too long sitting before the part came in and I just don't remember where that bottom clip is attached

 

The Assembly Manual is different than the Factory Service Manual in that it is actually what they use to build the car. It has illustrated drawings and instructions.

 

the books I got show a complete breakdown of the door but does not show where that release rod disconnected to the mechanism allowing the door to be opened
